Thanks - February 22, 2010

2 songs licensed with Resolute Games - January 1, 2010

Resolute Games has licensed two songs from the soon to be released CD for their iPhone game: Thumbstruck and Thumbstruck 2.

Mastering complete - August 21, 2009

The mastering of the long awaited second full length CD is finally completed.

The little CD that could and other news - January 2, 2009

It has been a while.
The new CD is currently going through final mixes. We are adding lots of sounds effects courtesy of Zombietrope 2.
We expect to have everything mixed in January thanks to our wonderful friend Ben Charlesworth who has been a lifesaver. We will do our best to finally get this thing out. (Yes , I know, you've heard that one before.)

In other news:
The new cover will feature artwork by the wonderful H.C. Warner. Please check out his work and his gallery as we have a link to his site.

Cinetrope song "Inside My Head" has been licensed by game company Resolute Games out of Memphis and will be featured in their iPhone game "Thumbstruck" that just rolled out December 20th.





Delay after delay on mixing of the CD caused by the actual tracks traveling with our engineer to Philadelphia as he relocated.

Premier show for new bassist - February 6, 2007

Darren Michaels, accomplished solo bassist, will be making his premiere with Cinetrope on the stage at Smith's on February 12th. We hope we can keep up with him.

NBC's The Office - January 9, 2007

If you watch NBC's The Office, in upcoming episodes pay special attention to any scenes filmed in the break room as there is a Cinetrope sticker on the fridge.

Recording - December 1, 2006

Cinetrope Caught in Illegal Music Making Ring - September 26, 2006

Atlanta band Cinetrope was incarcerated on Saturday in Cobb County. The group were raided while attending bassist's Charles "Sticky Fingers" Bennett's birthday/illegal people bash. Three of the members of the group were restrained, however Guitarist Steve "Big Tyme" Johnston escaped the police vehicle. Johnston is still at large.

This all happened just under a week before they are set to release their debut album "This Strange Romance". The album has become banned in over 76 countries due to its highly concentrated grade of musicality.

Detective Bucky Prince issued a statement on Tuesday morning. "If we let this type of not easily categorized music out onto the streets people wont know what to do...” said Prince. "We as a society must protect our citizens from the destruction of the radio friendly music we all know and love. The Cinetropes are a threat to categorized music and should be stifled before multi-genrelism causes a musical riot."

Cinetrope is set to appear in show on Friday, September 29 at 11:00p.m. at the ten high club. Other's on trial that evening are Athens based Five Eight, The Lord is My Shotgun, and Andy Zipf. Doors open at 9p and an $8 court fee for all entrants.

Keyboardist may Return for August 3rd Show At Star Bar - July 28, 2006

On Tuesday, July 25 Atlanta based Cinetrope announced an upcoming show at the local favorite The Star Bar. This will be the first time the Cinetropian sound makes it's way in to this venue. The Star Bar is located in the Bohemian section of Atlanta known as "Little 5 Points."

When interviewed, Cinetrope keyboardist Billy Ray "The Ghost" Jenkins stated, "We are very excited to make our way into a new venue for us.
I especially am excited to play with the band live and in person." Jenkins has been playing all of the previous shows via midi broadcast from Fulton County Prison.

The show begins at 9p.m. sharp on Thursday August 3rd, 2006. $5 at the door, be there are be an Octagon.

CINETROPE DEBUT RELEASE IS ALMOST HERE - July 13, 2006

After a year at Summerhouse Sound Studio the long awaited debut by Cinetrope is set to release in September. "This Strange Romance" blends the core sound of Cinetrope's beautiful off kilter pop with string arrangements, studio experiments, and beautifully layered vocals.

The collective has worked tirelessly on creating this sonic painting that represents the roots of the Cinetropian sound.
The CD was Engineered and mixed by studio genius Chuck Jopski and mastered by James Salter. We think you will enjoy the tasty listening experience we have cooked up.

Look for the CD release at 10-High at the end of September. Look for more information to follow.
